The Pyrénées-Atlantiques is one of the most southern departments in France.

It is situated in the Aquitaine region, bordered along the whole of the west coast by the Atlantic Ocean, resulting in a mild oceanic climate with the influence of the Gulf Stream.

There are around 2,200 sunshine hours per year, along with rainfall that is well distributed throughout the year. This results in mild temperatures, plenty of sunshine and a green, floral environment.
